PROBLEM:    Client needs a phone system with auto-attendant, voicemail, call forwarding without a physical location or equipment.

SOLUTION:    A new "virtual" phone system found on the internet. This monthly service was able to meet all the requirements the client had, plus they got to keep their 800 number, local number and a fax number. Included an extra value of allowing the phone messages and faxes to be emailed to them or accessed over the internet.  For more on this project, see the Blog Entry HERE.

PROBLEM:    Client needs system to capture, store and route faxes.

SOLUTION:    A fax server using Linux and opensource fax software. We were able to use an extra computer and modem, loaded Ubuntu Linux, and installed Hylax fax software with a Avantfax GUI frontend. Software was set up to capture faxes as PDFs and route them to the receptionist's email, as well as storing PDF copies of faxes server. Also set up client-side software to fax PDF's (scanned or other) as the client needed.

PROBLEM:    Client needs a way to securely log into their network using the internet.

SOLUTION:    A VPN gateway using Linux and opensource VPN software. We were able to Use a computer already loaded with Ubuntu Linux, installed the OpenVPN software, set-up encryption keys and routing. We also created set-up CD to install remote computers with OpenVPN GUI and keys for connection to network.

PROBLEM:    Client needs a way to securely back-up and transfer Quickbooks data to various computers.

SOLUTION:    A USB drive with opensource encryption software. We installed TrueCrypt on four different USB drives, creating encrypted containers to place the sensitive data, allowing secure back-up with the ability to transfer the data to other computers by simply plugging in the USB drive and using the password.  For information on a similar encryption solution, see the Blog Entry HERE.

PROBLEM:    Client needs an information and marketing presense on the internet.

SOLUTION:    Designed, developed and instituted a website. We were able to create a website that allows the client the opportunity to place their unique content and information on the internet.
